is offering a short-term research position for approximately 6 months,
beginning in September 08. The topic is to examine evidence for
recommendations on communicating the purpose and results of screening
tests to parent in primary care pediatrics, with a focus on
communicating the results of developmental screening tests. The
student will 1) assist in conducting a literature search; 2) review
abstracts for inclusion in the review; 3) review and extract
information from selected articles and screening test manuals; and 4)
participate in writing a manuscript summarizing the current literature
in this field. The student will receive close supervision. A small
stipend is available.
