POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLE/RANK Open
DEPARTMENT Family and Child Studies
DESCRIPTION
Tenure-track faculty position, open rank. Appointment includes
teaching and advising
students in a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Family
and Child Studies and
participating in curriculum development. Faculty members are expected
to be active
scholars, and to participate in departmental, college, and university
committees and activities.
Faculty member will play a role in the continuing development of this
relatively new
department, which includes a planned Ph.D. program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Earned doctorate in Family and Child Studies or closely related area
and college level
teaching experience. Candidates must demonstrate a well-defined
research agenda and
evidence of scholarly activities appropriate to the rank sought.
Desired areas of expertise
include but are not limited to: family policy, family diversity,
family relations, Child Life
Specialist, the hospitalized child, and gerontology. The department
and the College of
Education and Human Services are committed to student and faculty

SALARY RANGE Salary dependent upon qualifications.
