(10/9/07) Internship Opportunity

Attention: Graduate and Undergraduate Students

Be Part of an Innovative
and Exciting New Program!

The Research Institute for Learning and Development (RILD) in
Lexington is looking for graduates and highly motivated
undergraduates to help with research and implementation of the SMARTS
Mentoring Program. If you are interested in learning disabilities,
non-profit work, research and/or development then this internship is
for you.

S.M.A.R.T.S. stands for Success, Mentorship, Awareness, Resilience,
Talents, and Strategies. The SMARTS Mentoring Program is a unique
mentoring program designed by ResearchILD to build a supportive
community for students with learning and attention differences.
Mentors develop one-to-one relationships with younger students as
they share experiences and strategies for life success. The SMARTS
program creates a forum for mentees and mentors to meet and to share
personalized strategies for effectively managing their academic and
social difficulties.

Time commitment: 10 or 20 hours/week
We would like interns to commit to both Fall and Spring semesters but
we are also willing to consider interns who can only commit to one
semester.
