The National Center for Children and Families at Teachers College, Columbia University, seeks a postdoctoral research scientist with expertise in early child care.
This person will analyze survey and administrative data for a study of child care subsidy use in New York City (Jeanne Brooks-Gunn, Principal Investigator). Other duties will include preparation of reports and presentations, consultation with a statistical advisor, and presentation of findings to funders and other grantees. Experience with large data sets, knowledge of Stata, familiarity with literature on publicly financed early education and early childhood policy desired. Doctorate in developmental psychology, family studies, education policy or a related field required.
The National Center for Children and Families ( http://www.policyforchildren.org) is a multi-disciplinary center conducting policy-relevant research on children and families under the co-direction of Jeanne Brooks-Gunn and Sharon Lynn Kagan.
