Graduate Internship Posting: Qualitative Research Intern

Center for Collaborative Education

The Qualitative Research Intern

The Qualitative Research Intern will support the Senior Research
Associate in conducting a study about graduate outcomes of three
Boston pilot schools where performance assessments are an integral
part of the curriculum. The Qualitative Research Intern is responsible
for research activities including:

Ø Conduct interviews with pilot school graduates about their
experiences during and after attending a pilot school

Ø Contact graduates to arrange interviews

Ø Assist Senior Research Associate in the analysis of interview
data

Ø Complete additional assignments, as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position of Qualitative Research Intern
should have the following qualifications:

Ø Graduate student in education, evaluation, or relevant field

Ø Research experience or coursework in qualitative methods

Ø Ability to conduct interviews using the project interview
protocol

Ø Strong analytical and communication skills

Ø Demonstrated commitment to equity in public education

Ø Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and
complete projects by deadline

Compensation: The $15/hr for students with work study or $500 for non-
work study students
