Please see the position description below for an interesting
opportunity.
RA/TA Position
We are looking for a graduate student who can work with an
interdisciplinary team of faculty for the next 2 semesters (Spring
2008, Fall 2009) on the preparation, development, and execution of the
forthcoming university-wide seminar "International Perspectives on
Child and Youth Development in Exceptionally Difficult Circumstances".
This interdisciplinary course will be lead by Ann Easterbrooks (Eliot-
Pearson Department of Child Development), Christina Economos (Friedman
School of Nutrition), and Laurie Miller (Pediatrics at Tufts
University School of Medicine).
The position will involve conducting literature searches, coordinating
guest speakers, and working closely with lead faculty to develop
course materials. In Fall 2009, the student will be expected to
attend the weekly classes, and assist with the preparation of class
materials and with student assignments.
Work-Study funds required. The work will be funded at $15/hour and
will require a commitment of approximately 5-10 hours a week
(depending on whether we hire one or two students from the different
schools).
We are looking for someone who would be able to commit to both the
preparation and implementation phases of this unique course.
To apply, please send a resume and a brief cover email describing your
interest and relevant background information to:
