I have a new large-scale study staring this summer to test the efficacy of a
school-based intervention to work with adolescents who report symptoms
consistent with asthma but who are yet to be diagnosed. It is a five-year
study funded by NIH. The intervention consists of education for the
students, their parents and their primary care providers. I will be hiring
two bachelor level research assistants, two health educators/group leaders,
and a project director. Attached, please find the announcements for the
research assistants and health/educators/group leaders (project director to
follow soon). It is strongly preferred that these positions be filled with
individuals who can speak conversational Spanish as many of our parents will
be Spanish-speaking.
On my current grant to work with middle school students with asthma, I also
have two openings for research assistants. Again, I prefer these positions
to be filled by bilingual individuals (Spanish-English). The description
for this study is part of the attached announcement for the project
assistant.
It would be helpful if your students or applicants use your name in the
email so I give their applications priority.
Regards,
Jean-Marie
