Apply your skills to reducing the leading cause of death and injury in adolescence
The Center for Injury Research and Prevention at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a talented, collaborative psychologist / investigator to work with the Center's multi-disciplinary Young Driver Research Initiative to design and evaluate interventions for teens and parents to reduce the risk of crashes among teen drivers. This position represents an opportunity to join the growing Behavioral Science Core at the Injury Center, and to play a key role in building the Center's innovative injury research in this area. In addition to work with the Young Driver Research Initiative, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop an independent research program in related areas of child/adolescent injury prevention.
The Center seeks a scholar/scientist (PhD) in psychology or a closely related field, with experience in the design and evaluation of skill training programs and interventions to promote behavior change for youth and parents. Specific content knowledge and expertise in teen driving interventions is strongly preferred, but candidates with relevant expertise in designing and evaluating adolescent learning and behavior change interventions in other content areas are encouraged to apply. Faculty appointment at the University of Pennsylvania may be available for interested and qualified candidates.
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. Women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
