HFRP IS HIRING A RESEARCH ANALYST

who specializes in translating research for policy and practice. The
Research Analyst will work on HFRP's family involvement and evaluation-
projects. He or she will join our team in its efforts to provide
practical, research-based information to nonprofits, policymakers,
foundations, and other audiences.

Harvard Graduate School of Education, has helped stakeholders develop
and evaluate strategies to promote the well being of children, youth,

About the position:
The Senior Research Analyst will contribute to multiple projects, with
responsibilities including:

• Providing technical assistance to educators and nonprofits on family
involvement evaluation and practice
• Developing and translating research into user-friendly formats
• Developing research protocols and gathering qualitative data
• Reviewing and summarizing quantitative research studies
• Presenting research and evaluation information and results in
written and oral formats, including conferences and site visits

Required experience and skills:
• Masters Degree required, Ph.D preferred, in education, psychology,
or related field
• Strong background in family involvement theory and practice
• Strong background in evaluation
• At least five years applied experience that includes working in a
research organization and translating research into usable formats for
multiple audiences
• Graduate-level work in evaluation or applied research methods
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and on
multiple projects
• Capacity to think conceptually and frame complex problems essential

This job is temporary and grant funded through June 30, 2008. Strong
likelihood of continuation.
